Eric M. Hambly

Eric M. Hambly was elected President and Chief Operating Officer in 2024. Hambly joined Murphy in 2006, playing a vital role in the success of Murphy’s global exploration and production operations. Starting his career in the Corporate Reserves department, he earned roles with increasing responsibilities primarily focusing on offshore operations in the Gulf of Mexico and Malaysia, as well as onshore operations in the US and Canada. He was promoted to Executive Vice President, Operations in 2020. Hambly received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
